This is Volume I of two volumes on astrodynamics written by Samuel Herrick who is considered one of the founders of this field. The book, written in the early 1970s, is a bit dated, but remains a superb introduction to celestial mechanics and astrodynamics. Its clear, precise text and its style of handling difficult material make this book stand out. Anyone interested in the history of astrodynamics should have a copy.
